Cost benefits
Wood pellets are cost effective in comparison to other fuel sources. Kilowatt for kilowatt they are cheaper to run than oil, LPG coal and electricity powered systems.

Environmental benefits
Wood is ‘carbon neutral’. One tonne of wood pellets can replace 400 litres of oil. This prevents over 1000 kg of CO2 being released into the atmosphere. Wood is a renewable energy source and wood pellets are made from wood waste that may otherwise end up as landfill. Spillages do not cause any damage to the environment.
Convenient and easy to use
Modern wood chip and pellet boilers are fully automated, extremely efficient, clean and reliable, and rival fossil fuel boilers in terms of convenience. Because wood pellets are dry, compact, free flowing and have a low ash content, they allow for fully automated ignition, feed, cleaning and ash collection systems.
Easy delivery and storage
Deliveries can be made in 10 kg bags, one tonne dumpy sacks or be blown directly into your storage tank. Their bulk density is around 4 times that of woodchip so they require less storage space and less frequent deliveries. They are also free flowing with lower ash content, so allow for a more fully automated system. They are much less labour intensive than logs.
